1) Save your finished Photoshop magazine cover as a JPEG image and upload it to your evaluation blogpost. 2) Write an evaluation of your work: have you succeeded in your brief to create a new, original edition of an existing magazine? I do believe I have successfully created a magazine cover which is similar to the original vogue magazines; this is because I spent time researching all the aspects that make up the vogue magazine and tried to incorporate most of them into my magazine cover.  3) Put your cover alongside a couple of genuine covers of your chosen magazine. How professional is your work alongside genuine examples? Compared to these genuine covers, my central image isn’t as professional because it wasn’t taken with studio lighting. However, I believe that the title ‘Vogue’ looks very professional and the cover lines are not too far off from what they look they on the actual magazine.  4) What is the strongest aspect of your work? 1) Plan your main flash - this is the main cover story that links to your central image.   The main story line to my magazine is the model who is a successful beauty blogger and she exposes all her secrets on what is is like to be in that line of business and her top beauty tips for clear skin. 2) Plan the image you will need for the cover - model, costume, make-up, lighting etc. At this point, simply describe the image you need to capture. For the central image, my model will pose for a candid photo where she is smiling carelessly; she will face away from the camera and her hand will be in her hair. Her makeup will be done as she is a beauty blogger with a red lipstick to match the red and white theme of my magazine.  3) Write the cover lines and any additional text you need for your magazine cover. 1) Use your lesson notes on magazine genres and conventions to view a range of potential magazine covers.  Create a shortlist of three potential magazines and embed an example front cover from each one. VOGUE GQ EMPIRE 2) Select your chosen magazine to create a new edition for and explain the thinking behind your choice. The magazine i have chosen to re-create is cosmopolitan; the reason being is because it ticks all the boxes in terms of what a typical well-selling magazine looks like.  3) Find three different front covers for your chosen magazine and embed them in your blog post. Analyse the fonts, colours and typical design. What is the language or writing style? How are the cover lines presented? You need to become an expert in the design and construction of this magazine and its branding. With the colour scheme, all three have specific colours that are incorporated throughout the magazine; for example, the first magazine has a colo
